Financial business consultant John Nelson III once told me a story about a group of California business owners who had attained an 85% business success rate.  This is an astounding rate of success, when you realize that, nationally, one business fails for every 2.4 business startups.

John goes on to say that after a thorough investigation by the Wall Street Journal, it was learned that three factors led to this outstanding success.  Each business owner has (1) a well-thought-out written business plan, (2) a daily understanding of his or her business finances, and (3) a team of advisors.

While I believe that all three of these elements are crucial for business success, it’s the third element, the importance of a team of advisors, which is the single most important factor for business success.  Because of this…

Engage Marketing, Inc. has created a one-year, results-based program called the Relationship Mastermind Alliance.  Since January 2002, small, elite groups of success-driven people have been coming together once a month to selflessly advise, guide, coach, support and collaborate with one another for the purpose of helping each other grow their business.

I’m inviting you to participate because I believe you to be that type of person. I consider your personal involvement and participation vital to the continuing success of this mastermind program.  And…having just completed our seventh mastermind program, I know that this program has the ability to give you the information, breakthroughs, access to resources, and collaborative environment needed to increase your business growth infinitely quicker and easier.

A mastermind group with the right kind of like-minded people can be immeasurable.  They can open doors…distinguish and clarify breakthroughs… forge new strategies …create unprecedented opportunities…uncover shortcuts…and make problems literally disappear.  They lend all kinds of expertise, maturity, understanding, wisdom, and sophisticated experience to people who are seeking to enhance their growth.

Your fellow mastermind alliance members will rekindle your enthusiasm and purpose.  They’ll restore your spirit and re-establish your determination.  They’ll replace your doubts and fears with hope and possibility. They’ll recalibrate, refocus and redirect your thinking and actions, when a course correction is needed.

And, while other mastermind groups have been in existence for many years, here’s what makes the Relationship Mastermind Alliance so special:

• Working with entrepreneurs:  Imagine trusted entrepreneurs working together, helping each other with their most pressing problems and challenging issues.  It’s like having your own ‘Board of Directors’…but in Mastermind, you serve as each others’ board directors.

• One-on-one Growth Coaching: In addition to your monthly ‘Board of Directors’ meetings, you’ll also be able to request a one-on-one growth coach session to address issues that may require more time devoted to an important issue or an issue that is confidential. 

• Learning from area experts:  Each month we’ll bring you a short but powerful presentation designed to stimulate your group's discussion.    

• Total immersion: With three-hour monthly meetings, we’ll have 36 hours together over the course of the year.  This process of immersion will have a profound effect on your learning and your networking.

The best part of this program is not just what you’ll learn and take away from the process; it will be about who you are learning it with and from: your peers and colleagues…the actual masterminds.

What are the characteristics, qualities, and attributes that Alliance members must have?

• Qualification # 1:  They must have attended the “Pathway to Success” or “Business Launch” workshop…and, have learned a basic understanding of today’s marketplace and the tactics necessary to capture consumers’ time, attention and trust.

• Qualification #2:  They must be selfless in their desire to contribute to the members of the Alliance.  The basic philosophy of mastermind is “you get by giving”.

• Qualification #3:  They must make a commitment to help their fellow masterminds by participating each month.  Members support each other with their time and talent.  If you are not in attendance, your colleagues are not receiving the benefit of your knowledge and experience. 

What are the benefits of participating in the Relationship Mastermind Alliance?

• Benefit # 1:  One-on-one growth coaching:  On an as-needed basis, participants will receive one-on-one growth coaching to support their specific business needs.  Coaching will be available via the telephone, email or in person, as required by the topic to be discussed or the preference of the participant.

• Benefit #2:  Increase in business performance and financial gain.  After applying the information to which you’ll be exposed, we believe that you’ll substantially add to your annual revenue.

• Benefit # 3:  Exposure to breakthrough business strategies.  With this select group of alliance members and invited guests, you’ll be exposed to today’s most recent breakthrough strategies, applications, and insights.

• Benefit # 4:  Environment of excellence.  We all need to be challenged and stimulated.  The Relationship Mastermind Alliance will create an environment where we’ll all experience a sense of internal momentum, causing you to perform at your best.

What will the program cost?

In order to give the program a sense of integrity and set appropriate expectations for everyone, the cost of participation in the Relationship Mastermind Alliance is $1,200 for one year of monthly mastermind meetings and one year of one-on-one growth coaching. A one-hundred dollar deposit is due with your application.  The balance will be paid monthly at $100 per month for eleven months.

The next Mastermind Alliance program is scheduled to begin In September 2008.  Thereafter, the group will meet over a light dinner at 4:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month for a total of twelve months.  Meetings conclude at 7:30 p.m.
